My first attempt at a haiku (and I keep having to revise it.. I'm never satisfied lol)
This was inspired by an idea I had for a novel, but it never came to be.

Update: edited with the haiku rules in mind. Sincere thanks to ~vesperlynd for pointing them out =)

This is pretty much about a guy who kills his ex's new boyfriend, fully knowing that he's never going to get her back regardless, but he retains the mindset that if he can't have her, no one else can. With Essence in pain (since he murdered her new bf), he's left her with a "bleeding heart" The haiku is using the actual bleeding heart flower to symbolize the bleeding heart, or burden of pain, he's left Essence.. if that made any sense lol. Feel free to formulate your own conclusions though.

Dude... you've been holding out. Thats awesome! I'm so going to steal that for one of my roleplay characters... he ended up having to kill his jailor, even though he was in love with him. He simply needed to escape and see the world again one last time... yeah... we play "interesting" characters... *grins*
